Well I need some alien ripping crawler monsters for a Mothership RPG scenario ( The Screaming on the Alexis from the Dead Planet mini campaign) I was running F2F (Face to Face). So I thought these WizKids Critical Role Core Spawn Crawlers (Wave1) miniatures were very appropriate. Plus I could use them for future scenarios for other settings. Pretty much happy with the results.
Citadel F4 Mercenaries (1986 - 1988) shown in White Dwarf #94. F4 (M-06) Simkin on the left and F4 (M-02) Perkin on the right. After acquiring these miniatures at the time (late 1980s), I eventually got to paint them for a game of Dee Sanction. Pretty much happy with the results.
I think this miniature is from Ground Zero Games (their website has been updated but with no images at the moment June 2023, of this miniature). The lack of information is because of passage of time, I’m sure I purchased this miniature in the 1980s. Obviously the reason for acquiring this miniature is because’Alien’ is my favourite film and at the time no manufacturer had created anything close to the wonderful Moebius designed spacesuit. Nowadays especially with 3D printing, there are much better examples out there which I’m sure I’ll purchase. Anyway here after soo many years is the painted example of to my knowledge the first Alien Nostromo spacesuit in miniature.
When the original Games Workshop in Hammersmith became a Warhammer shop and the old Citadel miniatures were discontinued, I was lucky enough to acquire a few painted miniatures from the amazing glass cabinet displaying all the miniatures available to buy. I have to emphasise that I did not paint these miniatures.
The 2 miniatures shown are Citadel Spacefarers C100 range, sub range C100/2 Pirates & Adventurers: S9 Adventurer with Autolaser (left) (sculpted by Michael Perry) and S19 Street Rebel with Machine Pistol (right) (sculpted again by Michael Perry).
