Citadel Amorph a Runequest demon miniature

 The Amorph miniature comes from the Runequest Demons box set (Box 7).

The miniature was based on the demon article from White Dwarf issue #48, December, 1983. The article is shown below. I only acquired certain miniatures from the boxed set and never purchased the whole box set.

Otherworld DM6b Minotaur v2

Minotaur from Otherworld Miniatures from their Dungeon Monsters line, sculpted by Paul Muller and released in 2008. I painted it for the Caves of Chaos in ‘The Keep on the Borderlands’ D&D module B2. IMHO one of the best Minotaur miniatures.

Mirliton Fantasy Human Champion previously bought from Grenadier miniatures Fantasy Warriors: 1414 Fighting Men Champions in the late 1980s. This fighter was a repaint.

Gripping Beast LIV02 or SAGA SSC16 Highland Cattle (4). These miniatures of Scottish Highland cattle are found under 2 titles, hence me putting up these 2 titles/labels. Nice easy painting, mostly dry brushing.

D&D Nolzur’s Marvellous Miniatures: Crawling Claws were a nice easy paint, just painted a dark undead flesh and replicated the art from the blister pack.

Hobgoblins together

Both hobgoblins from Nolzur’s Marvellous Miniatures and the hobgoblins from Temple of Elemental Evil board game in a vignette.

D&D Nolzur’s Marvellous Miniatures - Hobgoblins Code 73768

This is a 2 count monster pack of a make hobgoblin captain and a female hobgoblin. The captain is a direct copy of the illustrated hobgoblin in the D&D Monster Manual 5e, as shown.

I decided not to paint him with purple and blue armour as shown in the illustration, but with a more traditional steel armour, though went for an orange brown flesh tones for both miniatures.

A trio of Hobgoblin Fighters from Temple of Elemental Evil board game. Plastic miniatures. Unlike the D&D recent art portraying Hobgoblins in purple armour, I went for classic steel armour.

Citadel Fiend Factory FF14-2 Cyclops

Citadel Fiend Factory FF14-2 Cyclops from December 1982. I suspect I bought this from Games Workshop in 1983 and another one last year, 2024. I decided to paint them at the same time and went for a slightly darker skin tone. It’s nearly like an orange skin tone of the current POTUS. Plus went for a bronze armour rather than iron/steel.

Otherworld DM2 – Giant Centipedes (4)

Sadly Otherworld Miniatures has closed for buisness last year 2024. However some miniatures have been bought up by Crocked Dice miniatures and Fenris Games. At time of writing, I don’t know who purchased these giant centipedes.

These 4 figures represent giant centipedes; nasty, venomous predators which are often found in dark ruins, ancient forests and the upper levels of forsaken dungeons.  They are all single-part castings which require no assembly.

The models were hand-sculpted by Kev Adams.  They are all around 30mm in length, cast in pewter, and are supplied with 25mm round plastic slotta-bases.

I just copied the same colour palette that was on Otherworld Miniatures website …
