This great shoggoth resin miniature from Fenris Games sat half painted on my shelf for a few years until I eventually finished it, a couple years back. Life and relocating my painting area to the box room upstairs prevented me from posting anything until now.

First picture of the Shoggoth is with a Copplestone female archaeologist, shown to give you an idea of the scale. Not sure, if she stands a chance against it with her puny revolver.

Second picture is again with a Copplestone miniature which he did for Grenadier miniatures back in the day. Wondering if this brave knight has a chance against it, this with a sword.

Body of Shoggoth

1. Black primed.

2. Drybrush: Vallejo Model Colour Bronze Green + Black + Vallejo Model Colour Neutral Grey.

3. Drybrush (lightly): Scale75 Ryleh Grey (aptly named).

4. Drybrush (again lightly): Vallejo Model Colour Neutral Grey.

Shoggoth Eyes

1. Layer: Vallejo Model Colour Black Red

2. Highlight: Vallejo Model Colour Burnt Red

3. Shade: Citadel Nuln Oil.

First time using Jon Hodgson’s backdrops book which is great & highly recommended.

Lord of the Rings ME72 Dead Men of Dunharrow

Repainted these 2 miniatures after my improvement in my painting skills in this century compared to the last century where it was predominantly just dry brushing. Happy how these turned out and just wonderful atmospheric characterful miniatures.

eBob Miniatures Dark Ages Normans purchased many years ago and finally got around to painting the lot.

Some shield transfers and some painted by hand shields.

The Assault Group, Renaissance, English, Tudor, Cunning Courtier, manservant and Percy

The Assault Group “Black Adder II” miniatures under the guise of their Renaissance English Tudor range as cunning courtier, manservant and Percy. I also added an English milita/border infantry longbow man to represent “Bob”. All miniatures sculpted by Mr Nick Collier.

Reference pictures taken for colour used in painting them. Also painted another set at the same time for my friend Jim.
