Reaper Miniatures 80071: Hillbilly

Reaper Miniatures 80071: Hillbilly is my first Bones Miniatures that I painted. Lovely miniature which I would have preferred in white metal rather than softish plastic. Still one of the best hillbilly miniature's that I have seen, sculpted by Bob Ridolfi.

 



Paints/ Colours used

 

Denim:

 

1. Base: Citadel Mordian Blue (is now Macragge Blue) + Derivan French Blue (Citadel Regal Blue) + Derivan RAF Blue (Citadel Shadow Grey).
2. Shade:  Citadel Asurmen Blue Wash.
3. Layer/ Highlight: Derivan Smoke Grey or Citadel Fenrisian Grey.

 

Jug:  

1. Base: Vallejo Model Color 884 Stone Grey.
2. Layer/ Highlight: Vallejo Model Color 986 Deck Tan.

Gun Stock: 

1. Base: Vallejo Model Color 984 Flat Brown.
2. Layer: Vallejo Model Color 875 Beige Brown.
3. Layer/ Highlight/ Edge Highlight: Vallejo Model Color 876 Brown Sand.

Otherworld Miniatures ACC2b – Hunting Hounds (3)

Ohh, another post. This time round, its Otherworld Miniatures ACC2b – Hunting Hounds (3) which were great pleasure to paint. I decided to play around with a wet blending mention as well as the good old trusted dry brushing. I think they came out rather well.

 

 

 

I didn't take note on the colours I used on these rather wonderful canines. 

Games Workshop Mirkwood Rangers

Well its been a very long time, since my last post. Not because of lacking of painting, far from it, I have been painting quite a bit, but just not photographing my completed miniatures. Any way, I digress. This is my last painted miniatures, taken from Games Workshop "The Hobbit" range. Mirkwood Rangers. I feel that this should be renamed "Mirkwood Wood Elves" which would be more apt.

Paints/ colours used

Flesh/ Skin colour pale:

1. Basecoat: Citadel Base Rakarth Flesh.
2. Shade: Citadel Reikland Fleshshade.
3. Layer: Citadel Flayed One Flesh.
4. Layer: Citadel Flayed One Flesh + Pallid Wych Flesh.
5. Layer/ Highlight: Citadel Pallid Wych Flesh.

Leggings/Trousers:

1. Basecoat: Vallejo Game Colour 027 Scurvy Green.
2. Shade: Citadel  Nuln Oil (Black).
3. Layer: Vallejo Game Colour 027 Scurvy Green + a bit of any black.
4. Layer: Vallejo Game Colour 027 Scurvy Green.
5. Layer/ Highlight: Vallejo Game Colour 027 Scurvy Green + Vallejo Game Color 25 Foul Green.

Main Clothing/ Hoody/ Straps/ Skirts:

1. Basecoat: Vallejo Game Color 45 Charred Brown.
2. Shade: Citadel Agrax Earthshade (love this colour) + Citadel  Nuln Oil (Black).
3. Layer (strips): Vallejo Game Color 45 Charred Brown + Vallejo Game Color 62 Earth.
4. Layer (strips): Citadel Mournfang Brown.
5. Layer/ Highlight (& strips): Citadel XV-88.

Gaiters/ Straps:

1. Basecoat: Citadel Caliban Green.
2. Shade: Citadel  Nuln Oil (Black).
3. Layer: Citadel Caliban Green.
4. Layer: Citadel Loren Forest.
5. Layer/ Highlight: Citadel Loren Forest + Citadel Ogryn Camo.
6. Layer/Edge Highlight: Citadel Ogryn Camo.

Bows/ Wood:

1. Basecoat: Vallejo Game Color 45 Charred Brown or Citadel Dryad Bark.
2. Shade: Citadel Agrax Earthshade (love this colour) + Citadel  Nuln Oil (Black).
3. Layer: Vallejo Game Color 45 Charred Brown or Citadel Dryad Bark.
4. Layer/ Edge Highlight: Vallejo Model Color 825 German Cam Pale Brown or Citadel Gorthor Brown.
5. Layer/ Edge Highlight: Vallejo Game Color 61 Khaki or Citadel Baneblade Brown.
